I had my first go on an iPad today as we're got one at work in the Talis Education team.  It's the top of the range 64Gb WiFi + 3G model and I've got the pleasure of having it at home for the evening.
It's (obviously) a beautifully crafted and usable bit of kit, as are all Apple products and I'm normally a big fan with my own iPhone, iPod, MacBook Pro and another MacBook Pro for work but I'm currently still wondering what I'd regularly use the iPad for.

It's been a while since I made a blog post.  Today, however, there is something worth writing about.
 
XIP-1324 went live today in Talis Aspire.  That code number won't mean anything to most people but it's indelibly imprinted into my brain and will be for the foreseeable future.

As part of my ongoing dabblings with Drupal, I wanted a couple of local installations to act as a test bed for various versions.  Now that I have a couple of live domains running Drupal in multi-site mode I really don't fancy breaking them by doing anything silly - this is where the local setup comes into play.

I've switched this site from Wordpress to Drupal for a couple of reasons.

A while ago I wrote about an issue with CPU spiking in Internet Explorer 7, recently I encountered another instance of this that required a different fix.

Dragon's Den is always interesting to watch on TV but every so often there's a product on it that sparks your interest and makes you want to go out and buy it. Our first Dragon's Den purchase was a while ago now and was a Yakibox and the most recent one was a trueCall.

Since the Tesco online grocery delivery started, several years ago, we generally use them about once a month to buy certain bulky items so that we don't have to pick up as much when visiting the store.  Over the years though we have changed what we do order from them as, increasingly, their inability ro deliver good quality meat, fruit and vegetables gets more pronounced.

We've just got back from a nice 5 day break in London, seeing a few places never visited before, doing loads of walking and exploring and eating at places we don't get to eat at back home.
